BIOGRAPHY AND BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Dr. Otto von Habsburg, a legendary statesman and an initial architect of the European Union, is currently on a three-city tour (New York, Washington, and Cleveland) of the United States. Through meetings with U.S. government officials and public appearances, he will stress the significance for the United States of the expanding European Union and advocate closer ties between the US and the new, larger Europe. He will be accompanied by his wife Archduchess Regina von Habsburg, son Ambassador Georg von Habsburg, and Archduchess Gabriela von Habsburg.
